Kayak Construction
Construction of the first kayak is complete. And a fine craft it is. Fast, stable, and always drawing compliments from anybody who sees it. For an initial attempt at boat building, the process went pretty well. The woodworking aspect didn't prove difficult. It was the fiberglass part that made the learning curve steep. But, it did come together and prove seaworthy. Well, lakeworthy at least, haven't taken it to the big water yet see Great Auk Meets the Ocean article for the ocean report.
